reply to this post: Nutrition is the science of how food affects the body. Nutrition is about eating the right foods in the right amounts and portions to look and feel your best. A balanced diet is essential for energy and provides macronutrients, essential fats, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. Many practices in the United States could be changed to improve health. One which is the availability and portion sizes of fast food and unprocessed foods. In America, processed, unhealthy foods are often cheaper and more accessible than nutritious options, especially in low-income areas. The consumption of highly processed foods and ready-to-eat food has grown rapidly, causing over-consumption and obesity and diabetes, which a health issues in the United States. My beliefs for change are to start from the infants and children coming up. Food and nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices should be taught more in schools. The need for a subsidy for healthy food should be incorporated in all schools to foster. As it is known in private/Christian schools, these restrictions are implemented. Parents aren’t allowed to send their children with unhealthy meals snacks, and drinks. The a need to improve school and community nutrition programs and regulate food marketing to children. They can also decrease the amount of ads promoting fast food outlets and eye-appealing unhealthy foods, and replace them with healthy lifestyle choices and options which can benefit society and thus influence and impact positively. I also strongly believe that charity begins at home and ends abroad, which means healthy practices and food choices should begin in the home, as the home is the first school where most behaviors are learnt. Introducing healthy lifestyles at an early age will help reinforce and embed proper nutrition and lifestyle practices that last for a lifetime. Lifestyle habits are fostered in the home. If all the children know that meals is a qucik fix for meals is a quick fix, they are going to opt for. Teach them about a healthy lifestyle, brushing their mouth after meals, and taking good care of themselves will go a long way for nutrition and practices. Cultural practices and norms go a long way and extend for a lifetime.
